1. What this page is
Several of our applications use artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, summaries, images, scores or plans. This page brings together in one place the information a user, a store reviewer or a regulator most often needs about that use. It sits alongside our{" "} privacy policy , our{" "} terms of service{" "} and our{" "} disclaimer , which continue to apply.
2. You are interacting with an AI system
Where a feature is powered by an AI system, we tell you so in the interface, and any output that is machine generated is labelled as such. This meets the transparency duty in Article 50 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, which requires that a person is informed when they interact with an AI system unless it is obvious from the context, and that AI generated text, image, audio or video content is marked in a machine readable way and disclosed to the user.
Where a store publishes an AI content field or a generative AI disclosure requirement, the answer on that store listing is consistent with what is described here. On the App Store, our app privacy labels reflect the data an app sends to a model provider. On Google Play, the Generative AI content declaration on the app listing is kept in step with the features actually shipped.
3. What we use AI for
- Turning input you provide into a summary, an explanation, a plan, a rewrite or a suggestion, at the moment you ask for it.
- Generating an image, a chart, a design or a piece of media from a prompt you provide.
- Extracting structured information from text, a photograph or a document you upload for that purpose.
- Improving reliability and safety, for example by detecting abusive content, spam or attempts to jailbreak or misuse a model.
The purpose of each feature is explained inside the application before you use it, and the input the feature needs is limited to what is required to return that result.
4. What AI features are not
AI output is decision support at most. It is not medical, diagnostic, clinical, pharmacological, nutritional, psychological, legal, tax, accounting, investment or financial advice, and it does not create any professional relationship. It can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, biased or confidently wrong, and different users can receive similar output. Check anything that matters with a qualified human before you act on it. The category specific limits in our{" "} disclaimer{" "} apply in full.
5. Prohibited practices we do not perform
None of our features perform any of the practices Article 5 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act prohibits, including:
- Subliminal, manipulative or exploitative techniques that materially distort behaviour and cause significant harm.
- Social scoring by public or private actors leading to detrimental or disproportionate treatment.
- Predictive policing that assesses the risk of a person committing a criminal offence based solely on profiling.
- Untargeted scraping of facial images from the internet or CCTV to build or expand facial recognition databases.
- Emotion inference in the workplace or in educational settings, except for medical or safety reasons.
- Biometric categorisation to infer race, political opinion, trade union membership, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life or sexual orientation.
- Real time remote biometric identification in publicly accessible spaces for law enforcement, save for narrow legally authorised uses that do not apply to us.
6. High risk uses
Our applications are not marketed as, and are not intended to be used as, safety components in the sectors listed in Annex III of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, including biometric identification, critical infrastructure, education, employment, essential public services, law enforcement, migration and administration of justice. Where a user chooses to use output for a purpose of that kind, they do so on their own responsibility, and the disclaimer and terms limit our liability accordingly.
7. Consequential decisions and the Colorado AI Act
None of our features make a consequential decision about a person, as that term is defined in the Colorado Artificial Intelligence Act of 2024. We do not use AI to make a decision that has a material legal or similarly significant effect on the provision or denial to a consumer of education, employment, financial or lending services, essential government services, health care, housing, insurance or legal services. Where a user chooses to use output as one input into a decision of that kind, the responsibility for the decision rests with them, not with the model or with us.
8. Model providers and how your input is handled
Some features send the content you provide to a model provider so that a result can be generated and returned to you. Providers act as our processors, under contracts that limit them to our instructions and prohibit them from using your content to train their own general purpose models. Providers retain content only for the short period needed to return a result, to prevent abuse and to comply with law. The current list of providers, the categories of data they process and the regions they process in is on our{" "} subprocessors page .
We do not use content you submit to an AI feature to train our own models, and we do not share content you submit with advertising or marketing partners. Where an app can perform a task fully on your device without sending anything to a provider, it does.
9. Sensitive input
Some features are designed to accept health, medication, body, financial or other sensitive input because they are only useful with it. Where an app processes sensitive data through an AI feature, it does so only because you chose to enter it, only for the function you asked for, and, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, only on the basis of your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) of the GDPR. Sensitive AI input is never used for advertising, is never sold, and is never shared with advertising partners. If you prefer that a piece of content is not processed by an AI feature, do not submit it to that feature.
10. Human oversight and your control
- You choose when to use an AI feature and what to submit to it. Nothing runs in the background.
- You may stop, ignore, edit or regenerate any output. Nothing is applied to you automatically.
- You may delete generated content and the input that produced it from within the app, at any time.
- You may raise a concern about an AI feature, a specific output or a suspected error by writing to us. A human on our team will review it.
11. Intellectual property in AI output
As between you and us, and to the extent we hold any rights in it, you own the AI output generated from the input you provide, and you may use it for lawful purposes. You are responsible for what you do with it. You must not submit content you have no right to submit, personal data of others without a lawful basis, or content that infringes third party intellectual property, and you must not use output to impersonate a real person, to defame, to defraud or to break the law.
11A. AI generated marketing content
Some of the video, image, voice and text content we use in advertising and in organic posts on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Meta, Apple and comparable channels is generated or materially altered by artificial intelligence. Where we use such content, we label it in the ways each platform requires, including the Meta AI content label, the TikTok AI generated content label and the YouTube altered or synthetic content disclosure, and we meet the transparency duty in Article 50 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act for machine generated content that could reasonably be mistaken for authentic content. We do not use AI to impersonate a real person without their permission, to fabricate a testimonial, or to depict a clinical, financial or safety outcome that a real user did not achieve.
12. Changes and contact
We will update this page as our features and the applicable law evolve. Questions, requests, corrections or reports of a specific AI output can be sent to hello@15xlabs.com with the subject line "AI".
Draft policies
These legal documents are detailed drafts prepared to cover our global operations. They have not yet been reviewed by qualified legal counsel in every jurisdiction. We recommend having them reviewed by an attorney licensed in your key markets before relying on them for app store submissions or regulatory compliance.
